







Johanna Nestor joined Noral to support its new business activities and work with public-health clients. She brings a unique blend of policy, program and local implementation experience from her work at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Formerly, Johanna was the Director of the Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs, working in the Office of Population Affairs (OPA) for more than 10 years. She was a Project Officer on many Adolescent Family Life prevention and care demonstration grants. In her role as Director of the Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs, she provided executive leadership and direction in the planning, development and administration of programs to carry out Title XX of the Public Health Service Act, and she served as the overall coordinator for the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Population Affairs (DASPA) of OPA adolescent pregnancy programs. She provided leadership in promoting public awareness on the problems of adolescent pregnancy and adolescent sexual risk behavior through the dissemination of public information and educational materials.
Johanna has a master’s in public health from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.,
and was recently certified in public health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
