Challenge:
The National Assessment Governing Board, established by the U.S. Department of Education, is best known for the “Nation’s Report Card.” The Board’s current initiatives include the development of international assessment linking strategies and the creation of feasibility studies for testing 12th graders’ level of workforce preparedness. Given the relevance of these and other Board initiatives for corporate America, the Board set a goal of raising its profile and interactions with the U.S. business community. Their first action was to invite executives from a variety of industries to join a Business Policy Task Force. The second was to hire Noral.

Tactics:
Noral is supporting the work of the Business Policy Task Force throughout its inaugural year. Noral is providing strategic counsel, meeting planning and execution, research, and support in the development of a communications plan for reaching the business community.

Results:
The National Assessment Government Board believes its Business Policy Task Force has provided invaluable insights and contributions that are now guiding several of the strategic initiatives that will define the Board’s work in the decades ahead.
